Perdue was honorably discharged from the USAF as a Major after serving for almost 13 years and was a Senior Pilot. He flew various trainer, fighter and transport aircraft all over the world and instructed pilots from 30 nations, was a maintenance test (FCF) pilot and did a brief exchange tour flying with the Navy. He is a veteran of the Afghanistan war, Operations Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle in the war on terror, and Operations Northern Watch and Southern Watch over Iraq. Perdue has his Airline Transport Pilot license and almost 6,000 hours of flight time.
After Active Duty, Perdue started one of the first and largest regional Internet Service Providers in Tennessee before being sold in 2001. ACCESS, LLC. Transitioned to a network security company and had Fortune 500 clients as well as government and small businesses in several states across the country.
Leveraging the high growth of his internet company in 1998, Perdue formed a partnership with other investors to start Digital-Leasing, LP. This company financed telecom and data equipment for businesses and later began financing avionics for his aviation consulting firm with clients such as Bomardier and others.
Upon returning from the Afghanistan war and making some additional real estate investments, Perdue started iviation, LLC., an aviation consulting and training firm. iviation has numerous Fortune clients such as Thomas & Betts, Wal-Mart, Target, Dow, Principal Financial, Pfizer, Jack Henry & Associates, General Mills, Wachovia Bank, CSX Railroad, Lowe’s, Ford, Rockwell-Collins, Mellon Bank and numerous others. Iviation is now a professional networking and portal site for the aerospace industry and no longer consults.
David Perdue is the Managing Partner of Perdue Realty Ventures, a real estate investment and development firm.. As a serial entrepreneur, real estate investor, owner, developer, TN licensed affiliate broker, and licensed Commercial General Contractor in Tennessee, Perdue is responsible for analyzing, underwriting and managing the investments and investor groups.
Perdue has extensive experience in financial analysis, negotiations, finance, ownership structure, repositioning and renovation/construction management.
Perdue has been an active real estate investor in multifamily for almost 20 years and syndicated various investments with high net-worth individuals.
Perdue is a graduate of Memphis State University with his Bachelor of Professional Studies in Commercial Aviation and Electrical Engineering and in 1998 was selected as Top 40 under 40 for the Mid-South.

Currently Perdue, appointed by Mayor Wharton, serves on the Shelby County Health, Education and Housing Facilities Board and is on the Development Council for Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.
