Blog Entry: I just read where Eclipse - the premier VLJ manufacturer, got a new CEO Roel Pieper . Van Raburn, the founder and CEO stepped down this morning and the Chairman, a Dutch investor with $100MM invested, took over as acting CEO. Evidently they are having safety problems as well as financial problems, needing more financing and unable to get it and lots of safety issues. I've sat in the sardine can, err uh I mean Eclipse. While the technology is great, it's not much bigger than a 172. Or maybe I'm just too fat. Hopefully this will bring about the needed changes to ensure long-term success for the fledgling company. They've already sold or have orders for some 230 aircraft and have a single engine jet aircraft in test. Good luck!!!
